Setting up for the Future!

Following on from school, Fearghus was excited to enter the next stage of his adult life- employment. He wanted to keep busy, active and make his family proud. With new-found responsibility, he was eager to establish a foot-in-the-door within the working world.

Fearghus was introduced to Challenge Employment and Training via Transition to Work (TTW). This initiative supports young people on their journey to further education and sustainable employment. Working closely with the TTW Team, Fearghus found his passion for the transport and logistics industry.

His primary focus was to receive a qualification, upskill and build a career for himself.  Fearghus graduated with a TLI32416 Certificate III in Logistics and has never looked back!

“Challenge has helped so much, they are the best people that I have ever met. They ‘brought me out of me’, they showed me more potential than I ever thought I had. They gave me countless opportunities that I never knew I had.”

Throughout his journey with Challenge, Fearghus gained copious skills relative to the industry with his favourite being

“The practical stuff, keeping busy and getting my hands dirty. The trainers were awesome, they were engaging and supporting, and it was a good experience.”

Fearghus told us

“I am most proud of completing the course and getting it done because I finally did something. Especially with having that completion and certificate in front of me. It gave me hope, made me proud and made me feel good to finally get out there and make a contribution to society.”

Fearghus gained employment due to his drive and expertise within the high demand industry.  Spending his time picking and sending orders and loving every minute of the active and hands on lifestyle.

Having achieved his foot-in-the-door and reached his primary employment goal, Fearghus is looking forward to a stable and happy life providing for his family the best that he can.

“Compare to 6-12 months i’m doing so much better, and I thank Challenge for that. They got me to where I am”

Incredible work Fearghus, the team at Challenge wish you all the best! #challengeaccepted
