Ready for Work Program

At Prime, we understand the importance of providing job seekers with one-on-one time with an experienced professional who will offer an honest assessment and evaluation of opportunities that may be available to them.

Our service to job seekers is free and confidential. All interviews are conducted in person in order to identify your work preferences. We offer the opportunity to evaluate your skills and enhance your software aptitude with training where appropriate. We provide regular updates, including client feedback regarding your recent interview or assignment.

Challenge Employment and Training offers Labour Market Programs funded by the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Initiative. These programs are aimed at providing skills and experience to unemployed participants with the aim of securing employment at the conclusion of the program. We are currently offering the following training programs at no cost to elligible participants:

Horticulture/Landscaping Work Placement Projects
Business Administration Work Placements
Introduction to Retail
Introduction to Automotive/Engineering
Introduction to Aged Care
Aged Care Certificate III
Introduction to Health Support Care Work

Community Work Programs

Challenge Employment and Training operates Community Work Coordinator (CWC) Programs at Ipswich, Brisbane North and Brisbane South West. As a CWC we facilitate Work for the Dole projects through sponsors and in our own right.

Work for the Dole provides valuable work experience that improves employability and is an Australian Government initiative funded by the Commonwealth through the Department of Employment Workplace Relations.

CWC's also provide valuable work experience for Volunteers in the fields of Business, Metal Work, Retail, Community Care, Hospitality, Automotive, Horticulture, Basic Maintenance. These programs are conducted at Challenge premises, and also at a range of Community Host Organisations.
