Lockyer valley Conservation and land management traineeship
This program delivers valuable entry level skills and practical experience to gain a head start in the Horticulture or Landscaping field. Candidates will learn a range of practical skills and techniques such as clearing weeds and planting native flora to arrest and reverse environmental issues in order to re-vegetate the environment and community. Trainee’s will be employed for a 38 hour week for 20 weeks paid under the national training award.
This traineeship is delivered as a full-time job, in a real work environment. Our role is to prepare you for the workforce, so there will be high expectations in place regarding your attendance, participation and professionalism.
Over the traineeship we offer extra support in employability skills such as resume writing, cover letters, marketing yourself and applying for jobs. Additionally, you will do foundational skills training (if required) to improve your skills for job readiness in areas such as literacy and numeracy.
