COVID-19 UPDATED DELIVERY
In response to COVID-19 we have updated the delivery of this program to blend at-home and in-person learning. It will comprise of:
- Self-paced learning at home with supplied workbooks and compulsory 2-hour online Zoom class daily.
- Onsite practical training with small classes and adhering to social distancing requirements.
Regular cleaning and disinfecting processes have been implemented on all sites to ensure the health and safety of all staff and participants.
WHAT IS THE INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT COURSE?
This program reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason. This program will also prepare you to undertake further studies in the community services and health sectors.

HOW MUCH DOES THE COURSE COST?
This course is fully funded by the Queensland Government – which means no out of pocket expense to you (eligbility requirements apply).
4 days per week | 12 weeks plus 120 hours of vocational placement.

To achieve this qualification, a minimum of 120 hours vocational placement must be completed. Please note that participants must be able to pass a working with vulnerable people check to undertake vocational placement. Challenge Employment and Training supports participants in sourcing 120 hours of vocational placement with a current industry employer. Alternatively, participants may source their own vocational placement hose with the support of Challenge Employment and Training
